    Well almost done with the house, just have one cupboard to have put in and all the doors on them then done for a while. Will be so nice after a year of having contractors in and out to have the house to ourselves.

    Update on house: 2 bedrooms, hall laundry room and living room all painted, even the ceilings. Plumber came and installed the shower floor thing, tile man coming next week to do the tile, then it needs to be painted, I am so sore, getting too old to do painting any more but once I get it all done, I will not have to worry about it any more for a good long time.

    Today I have to get started on the baby quilt I have been asked to make, the colors are pale lemon yellow, and a light dove ...

    Wednesday 6:AM windy ridge cottage,
    What a lovely morning! Right now one could not ask for better weather or temp. That will change later today, we are supposed to get temp's up in the 100s for the next 5 days or so, at least is is a dry heat, no humidity as yet.
    I am out side at my new patio table in a really comfortable chair, I think I am really going to like this set. The love seat, coffee table and 2 other chairs are still in box's in the garage, but I have the 3 piece bistro ...

Now every thing I have been taught and learned has been that you start quilting in the middle and work out. Correct? Well not so with with Rachel, she had quilted all of the out side borders, and was then working on the blocks and sashing row by row. She did NOT have a single pucker on the back of either quilt. I know this, as they ...

    June 7th at Windy Ridge Cottage;
    I have not posted much in the last weeks, as I have been really, really busy running around and around! I feel like I am going in circles and will soon see my own back side if I do not slow down, but it has been so much fun.

    My first big change, is that we have bought a new house, and I am in the midst of changing many things in the house, like carpet out, bamboo in. So far I have the bamboo flooring in the studio, hall and my bedroom. Many ...

    When I went to the Paducah quilt show this year, I got 8 box's of Polar Notions mini bolts. I have been wrapping my fabric on them and oh my I can get so much more fabric stored in the same space and so much nicer looking, and easy to get to. I really really like these mini bolts!!!

    I have my new room arranged well enough now that I can get some sewing done. Still have lots of things to move over here from the other house, but no worries I can work on a project again, and that is ...
