I have a pattern that's a diamond shape log cabin star quilt. I was doing the pattern but my diamonds are coming out way different in sizes. Can anyone help me?
I make a lot of log cabin quilts and the key is to square up each time you sew a row. I use graph paper to draw out my first block the size it should be. When you use a diamond shape there is a chance of stretching the bias edges, don't pull as you sew, pin and trim. If you are using a 2 inch center and add 1 1/2" logs around it you should end up after 1st row @ 4 inches. hope it helps. Betty
