Though I haven't said so, it is high time I did. I love this board!

The posts are informative; the pictures inspiring; the links are must haves; and I visit here every single day. There aren't many things I do every day, but this is certainly one of them.

My quilting life is very full. Not only am I doing the calendar BOM and the Craftsy BOM, but I'm dabbling in other projects as well.

Last night I finished (well, almost) the hand-quilting on Old Yeller. I'm anxious to wash off all the blue markings before I make this quilt project's final decision.

I must figure out if I want to simply bind it or add a border to it. You see, I hadn't planned on a border, but when I began quilting, I realized the pattern went all the way to the edge, which is actually going to dwarf the blocks by at least a 1/4".

I stopped quilting close to the edge, leaving plenty of room to sew some sort of edge, which is why there will be more quilting ahead once I solve this dilemma.

It just looks like it needs something.

The way I see it, I have two preferred options. I could either simply bind it with the yellow/black polka dot fabric or I could add the same fabric as a flange and then a rather neutral border. Hmm! Always some kind of decision to be made, but then, isn't that half the fun?


I'm kinda thinking that if I simply bind it, I could finish it, wash it with my new box of color catchers, just in case, and put it on my bed before I go to sleep tonight. That sounds pretty tempting to me.
