Just getting started on a new scrappy quilt today.
It's called "Country Checkers" from Quilters Cache.
I'm not sure how big I will make it yet.

  3. New Scrappy all cut out!

    by , 01-24-2014 at 10:17 AM
Spent the morning getting my next scrappy quilt all cut out.
I will keep all 672 pieces together in my "kit box".
It will be called "Scrap Ribbons". I'm using a pattern from the book "Scrap-Basket Surprises".
Now, I'm starting to draw a diagonal line on the backside of 288 little squares.

  4. Scrappy happenings today

    by , 09-12-2013 at 10:52 AM
Started playing around with some scraps today.
This is what I came up with, each block has (64) 1.5" finished squares. I'm going with the orange sashing.
Not sure how big I'll make this. I'm using (16) 4-patches per block. The second picture is more 4 patches I have started.

It was a easy & fun one to do.
I only wish that I had made it big enough for my bed.
I just might start another in the near future. Making it large enough for my queen size bed.

  7. What I worked on today

    by , 05-06-2013 at 12:44 PM
Today I made my May block for the Monthly Quilting Bee.
I chose an Ohio Star block, as my swap partner had no particular theme or color scheme. Hope she'll like it.
I did a little piecing on a Bonnie Hunter quilt pattern that I started a few weeks ago.
My roses have started blooming like crazy. Hope to take a picture to post this week.
