This was so much fun! Can't wait to make another one. I have some green strips that will be my next effort. Maybe next year. Took a long time tearing off the paper, but surely worth it to keep it from stretching. I still need to quilt it, but it will be in line with the other tops that need to be quilted.

I have made many string quilts and each one is more lovely than the last one. Allways love the way they turn out. The colors make such interesting designs. I use old sheets for the foundations and it works well.

I love your string quilt. Yours is one of the prettiest ones I've come across. It definitely makes me want to try one.

I too use old sheets, found at the thrift stores for $.50 or any thin fabric someone gives me.

Very pretty. I use thin muslin for my string quilts. BUT next time just sprits the paper lightly with a water bottle, wait a minute or so and poof the papers falls off.
