My yellow quilt

Since I have wanted to do a yellow quilt for some time, and I've wanted to teach myself to make stars, I jumped into this project with both feet. I designed a quilt with EQ5 and love how it turned out. This is the result. I know all this yellow isn't for everyone, but I can't wait. I'm going to call this quilt, "Sunshine on my shoulder."
I have finally completed a sample block. There will be 15 of these suckers alternated with simple 9-patches in varied fabrics. I have cut out all 30 background pieces for this block and plan to finish cutting in the next couple days. I can't wait to start sewing.
Once the top is done, A motif for the 9-patches will be easy enough, but I have no idea yet what kind of hand-quilting design I will use on this block. There is so much bulk in the center that I'm not sure how SID will work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I think I have some time before that decision is made.
