Here are the hotpads I just made last week. I used to make about a dozen of them every 2 to 3 weeks for the local gift shop. But she closed so now I make them for friends and need to make some for my online store.

Well we have now put 600 miles on our new van so I guess I am getting used to it! LOL It has a running board that hits my shin every time I get in or out of it. It is so annoying! The last van I kept hitting my head on the door frame and this one gets my leg! If I remember to step over getting in I do ok and I have figured out if I scoot forward and put my rt foot on the running board I can get over the running board without hitting my leg but I forget more often than not! My DGS Daymon is 8 and loves to ride his bike. But yesterday he caught the guide wire on a pole in their yard and it flipped him into the grass hitting his head. He limped into the house and while his mom was cleaning the scratches on his hand he was asking What Happened? How did those scratches get there? He was very vague and not quite sure what was going on. So they took him to the hospital and they kept him overnight for observation. He was still vague and unsure of where he was etc on the ...
It has taken me some time to come to terms with this new van. I went into the dealership just to look and possibly to trade our 2001 town and country in on a 2006 van. But we walked out with a brand new 2012 Dodge Caravan. I was just not ready for that I guess! I know everyone has cold temps right now. I am so looking forward to warm weather again!! If I had my way we would stay home today but mom wants to go out to eat with 2 of my 3 kids to celebrate Valentine's Day. She is a big one for marking the holidays of all kinds. Had to share our bedtime routine with you all tonight. This weekend I have Daymon 8 and Devon 8(twins) and Colton their little brother 13mos and Rachel almost 10. I can't believe we are really going through this winter so fast! It has been an unbelievable winter this year. Except for a week of teens temps we have been in the 30s and 40s all winter so far with only a couple of 1" snows! I am so grateful for no ice storms so far or deep snow storms!! Praise the Lord! Iowa is usually knee deep in snow and ice by now. Not that I'm complaining mind you! I love the temps and the sunshine we have today!! Wow I just looked and we are at 59!!! Unbelievable!!! ...
I should be going to bed but thought I would write for a few minutes. It's been cold and quiet today. Tho it is up in the 30s today as compared to the single digits and the teens we saw the last few days. We are supposed to be up in the 40s for the next few days so I hope so!!
