    Yes you can buy iron on fusible...I use the light weight for appliqueing but for bags you will want the heavier fusible stuff....I found it easier to iron on to material first before you cut out your pattern for your bag...any craft store near you should carry it.....just ask....

    It's a fusable web like Wonderunder or Heat &Bond or Seam2 seams that add body to the fabric and join them as 1 fabric. Heat $ Bond now has a batting that is fuseable and can be quilted for added body. Hope this helps along with the suggestions from IIwaliser
