Is there an easy peasy way to make foolproof HST's?

    I don't think so, but the thangles come the closest - it's easier to get the triangulations cd that Brenda Henning does. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z6o7Bh7MYg here's a link to the youtube video

    My method is easy, but don't know what it's called. Take 2 squares (Iusually use 5"), pin rigt sides together. Sew a 1/4 inch seam on all 4 sides. Make 2 cuts on the diag like a big "X". Open and press. That's it. Found this on you tube and have used with great success on scap quilts. You can also make star blocks like this, but have to cut square blocks for corners separately.     I, too, am using the same method as cottage2. I'm new, and my points are almost... perfect. Good luck with it. I think I got the tute from MQC.
