WOW!!!! I am simply amazed what complaining can do!!! Imagine that I am able to post now. LOL

Not sure if I like the idea of a blog....not sure exactly what this is about?? Oh well...I'm sure that there are many who will be willing to tell me in no uncertain terms that I will understand it very soon.

I think the blogs are about the same as the PDAs. The way I understand you will only be able to get to 500 pages. Don't know if they have changed it or not.
I have just hunted and poked and read help pages, others comments until I found my way around. At least for now, this is a free board.

Tigger you can be a tester - we will let you post on a blog and we will come answer and see what happens ! LOL

Basically it is like the PDA the only real differance is you have seperate posts that can be commented on. It just isn't a continuous line of posts. But I am SURE you will get used to it!! LOL *Grin* I just had to say it!

I am soooo happy and relieved to be connected again on here. I was not happy with not seeing everyone everyday. I am still looking for a few friends yet. Hopefully they didn't jump ship.

Hey Tigger just checking in to see how things are in your world right now! Thinking of you! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Really don't like the new format here. I can rarely stay logged in or post anything Been having a rough time since Thanksgiving. Mom has to have surgery again. The breast bone pulled apart and needs repaired. Brother is believing lies about me....sister in law is telling lies to Mom about me. Kid wrecked my car AGAIN!!! Now I'm without a vehicle again. I'm just praying that it won't take me another 2 years to find parts to put it back together.

DH went deer hunting....they ended up getting 3 deer and 2 were donated to HUSH. It's a program that the deer are donated to food pantries. The 3rd went to my youngest brother...(sort of a payment so hopefully he will fix my car?)

I'm currently working on a SBS / irish chain type quilt. I'm not in love with the fabrics, but am having to continually tell myself that I need to finish it. (I really don't like it!!) I am just not sure what, if anything I want to work on right now. The way things have been going, I'm trying super hard not to be depressed. And migrane headaches aren't helping at all. Oh well, a door closes and a window opens? Hope everyone has a better holidays than I'm having right now. Luv to all.

I'm sorry, Tigger. I used to read your posts under the old format and just happened to catch sight of your name as I was passing through.

    How are you doggies?

I hope things get better for you soon. Sometimes it doesn't feel like it will ever happen but it does. I'll be praying for your family.

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful holiday season.

My DGS will turn one on February 1st. WOW that year went fast!!! Unfortunately right now he isn't feeling too well. The Dr has said that if we don't get the crud broken up in his lungs he will need to be in the hospital in an oxygen tent. He is still always happy, just has his lungs full

Yesterday, I was fed up with the washing machine!!! I said that I was coming home with a new one no matter what!! We found a good used one and I spent most all day doing laundry today. I just got so tired of having to wring the laundry by hand. Not good for the wrist and the clothes didn't get wrung out too well. Poor dryer sure had a terrible work out. Then, this afternoon, I splurged and bought a used car. I figure that since DGS is sick and my Mom not well, I can't be without a vehicle. My next door neighbors niece had a car for sale and we decided that the price was within our budget. It isn't new by any means and needs some work, but sure beats walking!!! The car is a 99 Chevy Lumina and I'm hoping that it will last at least until I can repair my car that my son wrecked again.

I've been working on the patriots in petticoats quilt also. Finally got the finishing packet. Our poor LQS is having such a hard time getting the correct fabrics in and took pity and made a finishing kit from other months for me. I was really grateful for that. I've almost got it finished now. I've got one more strip of ribbon border to put on then a 2 inch border and then the final striped border. I will be happy to have it finished. Then off to the LA and be done. Not bad for a cripple. LOL Anyone else doing the thimble berries BOM that was advertised in the quilt magazines? So far we are on month 2 and I'm not sure that I quite like it but oh well. Something to do. I've actually got 4 projects going on right now, and am trying to get them all finished. Gotta build a light box before I can finish one tho.

Hope that all are doing well and have great weather and lots of sewing time.

My DGS is doing much better now. No more doctor visits until his one year check up now. WOOOO HOOOO Sure is nice to not hear him struggling to breathe or being so rattley. They put him on a nebulizer and 2 different meds so I'm hoping that everything goes well and that he stays well now. Little ones shouldn't be sick in my opinion. If I could have been sick instead of him I gladly would have done so. It just isn't right that wee ones have to endure things that they do health wise.

DH fixed the brake lights on the car today. Said it was just a couple of loose wires and that all he had to do was tighten things up a bit. YEAH!!! Now to get the water pump fixed on it and it will be "almost" good as new.

Hope that everyone has good weather and lots of quilting time.

Hugs all. Hope that everyone is having a good weekend with lots of sewing time. Hopefully I'm getting over being down with some sort of bug. Wednesday, the right side of my face swelled so I went to the dr. and got sent to an ent. Got put on antibiotics and pain pills. Was told to call back friday if I wasn't better. THe swelling got worse by then so I called. They have a ct scan set up for monday along with another appt with the ent. So, after several days of meds and now prednisone, the swelling is just about gone. I am wondering if I will still need the ct scan? I'm planning on calling to find out if I can cancel it before I have to go about 40 miles just to have it done. Plus the weather isn't supposed to be very nice on Monday so I'm really hoping that I can just cancel it and not have to go back until the previously scheduled appt on the 1st of Feb.

Wooo Hooo...no ct scan...yet anyway. Still have to have one, just have to wait until after I finish all the meds that I am on. Not really sure that it is totally necessary but will more than likely have to have it done

I'm just glad that I'm feeling so much better than this past weekend. My face was so swollen that I refused to be seen in public!!! I looked like I had mumps on one side!!!

Hugs to all. Well, the swelling on my face finally went down...finished the meds....went back to ent and still had to have the ct scan. It showed bad sinus infection on the left side and dr said that was why my face swelled so badly. I told him that it was the right side that swellled. His reply was oh...really? Then I was told that he was wanting to put me in the hospital on IV meds due to such a bad infection and the swelling. Now he wants to do sinus surgery again because there are polyps again. I'm hoping to be able to put that off for a LONG time. I don't want to start off this year with ANOTHER surgery!!

Hopefully everyone is staying warm and comfortable if it is cold where you are. Or cool and comfortable if that is the case.

Hi all. I know that I haven't been here much lately. Been kept busy with Mom in and out of the hospital and getting DGS and his family moved, then Dr. appts for myself. Mom is doing so much better now with lots less meds to take. Hopefully it will continue that way. Missing DGS so much since they are about an hour away and gas prices what they are.

Myself...another story. Had a physical and found out that I have cervical cancer. Had a procedure to see if they could get it all then, but waiting on results yet from that. Dr did say that she was glad that this procedure was done in the hospital since things were worse than she anticipated. (Not a good sign in my book) Just trying to hang in there for now.... about all that I can do.

I've been busy recently with sewing and managed to finish 2 quilts that Mom started, then 2 of mine off to LA. I actually have 3 more ready to go, but just haven't got the finances for all of them right now. Oh well...in time they will get finished. (Also made a small wall hanging and quilted it myself in all this time too)

Started cutting fabs for a quilt this past saturday and all I have left to do to it is put 2 borders on it. (Can't do much but sit anyway, so figured that I may as well sit in front of the machine)

Hope that everyone is doing well and getting lots done.

Hi all...I'm back for a lil while. Our fairs are all done now. Not sure that I will be entering anymore after what happened this year. Just tired of all the drama involved in everything. Oh well...still going to make quilts, just not for show.

I've been busy doing lots of sewing and taking care of Mom also. At least trying to but can't be there every day or monitor her every move. At least I try. Finally got my car fixed and back running again. (Our son named it the "box of crayons" because it is now 5 different colors.) I told him that color doesn't make it run any better or worse.

Has anyone heard of the "Cross stitch" quilts? I did one this year and found that I am hooked on it. Lots of fun I thought.

Gotta change the laundry over again. Hope that everyone is doing well and getting lots of sewing done. Hugs
