Traveling with my sewing machine!

After getting back from the AQS show in Des Moines (still just thinking about those jaw-dropping quilts!), I realized that my house was showing my lack of cleaning attention and have to host bunco next week--so really dug in and did some of that "deep" cleaning Managed to get the WWII Vet quilt cut (pretty simple pattern--I hope!) and got the Guild newsletter "to bed" and managed to do some sample quilting on the long arm for my new business--but no real work yet.
Going to Eureka Springs, Arkansas on Thursday for 4 days with my hubbie while he has a conference. So I'm taking my travel sewing machine. Does anyone else do that? I could cruise the main drag of Eureka Springs--but I'd just end up spending way too much $$ in all the little shops, which I can't really afford, so sewing looking very enticing. My hubbie thinks I'm a little nuts for wanting to take my machine and sit in the hotel and sew. LOL But I'm looking forward to just sewing. A friend suggested I check out the LQS in Holliday Island and maybe a couple of others--so I will get my shopping fix.
