The die was expensive, but makes the curved piecing a snap. If you are condsidering making one of these, I would also recommend the book: "Winding Ways" by Nancy MacDonald

The construction chapter is invaluable, and there's some interesting setting ideas.

    Absolutely gorgeous, I love the fabrics and colors. You are right, it is very soothing and I know she will love it. Great quilting also, great pattern.

    I don't think this is boring AT ALL. I'm one for bright colors for the most part, but I love this quilt. I know your friend will love it, too. That was a thoughtful thing to do and will not be forgotten by her. I did the same for my sister-in-law and she still comments on it every time I hear from her. Makes me feel good.
