Hey everyone! So, I am new to the quilting world, but I have always loved to sew, and create. I usually use Art Gallery Fabrics. I recently found out that they have an APP! It's pretty useful. There are tons of projects you can browse through for inspiration. Have any of you used this app yet? Or have you used AGF to sew with?
Trying to learn as much as I can from other quilters.
I think I've always chosen AGF because they have so many cool prints to choose from.
Here's a quilt inspired by Ricky Timms and his work based on the Fibonacci sequence; not mine Iím afraid, made by my Mother at the same time as my first and to the same instructions, I think we may have been lent a book or attended a workshop together.
When I have a few hours to spareÖ. Some time in the next 5 years! I think I have the right two fabrics to make another one of these.
My name is Alison and I am from the UK (Lancaster) I have been quilting all my life and have just started blogging please have a look at my site and comment if you please
I'm looking for Harry Potter fabric - any reasonable scraps for applique or yardage - for a crib set for my new grandson whose mother is a huge Potter fan. The crib is non-standard size so I am going to make fitted sheets, a quilt, sleepsuit, teething rail cover and valance. Apliqued Potter shapes or coats of arms on the valance would be ideal but I suppose I could used Wizardy shapes too - hats, spells etc. - and the Potter colours. I can't say I'm hopeful since the production line for this fabric
I am new to this site and it looks like a great network to be apart of. I am excited to make some new friends who share the same obsessions, I mean, interests that I have.
My first Blog is random, but very much needed.
I have officially run out of excuses to tell my husband on why I keep buying fabric. I have already used the following;
Hun I'm making our son a quilt that will be passed down and cherished. Can you really
I thought I would do some on-line shopping before Black Friday and get some more cotton thread for my collection. I just started using the cotton thread since I started quilting and my Bernina 1530 loves this brand of thread and I love my Bernina 1530, so it's all good. Until I started quilting I only had polyester thread in my collection and some of it is a little on the old side. Anyway, my favorite on-line retailer for thread was sold out of two of the shades of blue that I wanted, bummer.
