Here's a quilt inspired by Ricky Timms and his work based on the Fibonacci sequence; not mine Iím afraid, made by my Mother at the same time as my first and to the same instructions, I think we may have been lent a book or attended a workshop together.
When I have a few hours to spareÖ. Some time in the next 5 years! I think I have the right two fabrics to make another one of these.

I'm looking for Harry Potter fabric - any reasonable scraps for applique or yardage - for a crib set for my new grandson whose mother is a huge Potter fan. The crib is non-standard size so I am going to make fitted sheets, a quilt, sleepsuit, teething rail cover and valance. Apliqued Potter shapes or coats of arms on the valance would be ideal but I suppose I could used Wizardy shapes too - hats, spells etc. - and the Potter colours. I can't say I'm hopeful since the production line for this fabric

I thought I would do some on-line shopping before Black Friday and get some more cotton thread for my collection. I just started using the cotton thread since I started quilting and my Bernina 1530 loves this brand of thread and I love my Bernina 1530, so it's all good. Until I started quilting I only had polyester thread in my collection and some of it is a little on the old side. Anyway, my favorite on-line retailer for thread was sold out of two of the shades of blue that I wanted, bummer.
