Yay! finally after 21 -yes that's 21- years we have municipal water! No more running out of water with a head full of shampoo. No more running out of water in the middle of a party. No more saving rainwater to flush! No more smelling worse after a shower than before! No more laundromat! No more gray whites! No more itchy skin! YaY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, the joys of country living! Would not change a thing, but then I DO have city water.

Be careful , depending on the water you might want to get a water softner to take out the "extra" minerals from the hard water

But I understand your excitement

Out here in my neck of the woods lots of folks still use a cistern with run off water from the barns and house roofs. If you run out of water you have to truck some in. I really never gave that a thought before I moved here. I grew up with well water and have had city water ever since.

One of me neighbors does not even filter her water before she uses it. She is in her mid eighties I asked her about it and she told me if she was going to die from that she would have long ago. She has lived in that house for over 60 years.

Sounds like you REALLY needed it!!! We have well water...it's pure, doesn't smell and have never run out. Right now, I'd cry if they made me go to city water!

I'd trade the city water here for cold, pure, well water any day!
