This time of the year I have to step away from my sewing machine a little to have some fun pumpkin painting. It's fast, easy and the sky it the limit with what you can do. These are two I finished last weekend... have a few more to do, but for now I'll post these photos. I have painted "patch work" pumpkins many times.

I get a lot of my props at thrift stores. I found the helmet for "Army Cartman" for .99¢ at Good Will. The hat/flowers and curly green ribbon hair for "Cowgirl Scarecrow" came from the $1.00 Store. It's cheap... fun...and anyone can do it..

Love it. I had a gift and craft store years ago and I painted pumpkins every fall. Such fun.

Oh what fun!!

Our Fair had a competition in the Kids section for a pumpkin/squash animal. One entry was a perfectly formed penguin, with the stem conveniently coming at its beak. It was totally painted.

Another was a sheep .... while not painted it was covered with puffs of batting, and certainly did look like a lamb. It scored first, the penguin 2nd.

Hehe....THANKS! My boss makes that EXACT face on the Cartman pumpkin. He's really not grumpy.. it's just a face he makes when he's being silly. I put it on his desk when he was gone and I could hear him laughing all the way down to my office when he discovered it.

I'm not kidding... ANYONE can do this. The more you do the better you get. Just like quilting actually...LOL
