Okay - at first I thought "10 yr old sews -- big deal, I was sewing at 10" -- BUT this child is DESIGNING!!! WOW!!!!! amazing --

I have to jump in here and brag a little about my own granddaughter, Alexia, who at age 9 designed and sewed her first appliqué quilt. We had so much fun that summer and later I started teacher her 6-year old brother Julian how to use the sewing machine, too. What I love about working with kids is that they are absolutely fearless.

Alexia did such a neat job I made a whole section for her on my website so she could showcase her work. Both kids will be spending this summer with me again, so I am really looking forward to new quilting adventures with them. If you would like to see their work, this is the link:
