Question 1980's colors

Once upon a time, "Country Blue" and "Dusty Rose" were all the rage.

(I couldn't begin to count how many bolts of country blue pindot fabric I used up making items for craft shows back then!)

And tonight I got to wondering...

Have you used any fabrics in those colors in 2011?

I stick them in the scrap quilts that I make and it just doesn't matter. I also used dusty blue bias binding to bind a scrap quilt, a baby quilt and a bunch of bibs because I had mega metres of it. I still have some and I don't mind the colour of it and the babies don't complain either.

No, I didn't use any of those colors recently. But, do I ever remember that country blue pindot and little hearts fabrics! I had those colors in my home and I don't think I ever liked them as well as earth tones, but just had to have them!! More memories!

Yes, I used some of the dusty blue in a scrap quilt that was all blues. I, for one, still love those colors.

I've used those colours in scrappy projects but not as the feature fabric in any projects.

Other reminiscences of the eighties .... hunter green and burgundy
