I love NY I am from Uk but have been to NY about 7 times now. I absolutely love all the hustle and bustle. Last year was the last time I was there, but it was just for a day as it was a stop on a cruise I was on. I left the ship at 7.30 and did not arrive back until 5pm, tired out, shopped out, and spent up. The City Quilter was a must for me as I have been going there since it was at their last address, which I cannot remember the name of the street, but it was lower down in Manhatten. You must visit it, although I doubt you will get to see all the sigts in a day. Have a great day, say hello New York for me.

We had a great time we didnt venture far because my girls loved the shops where we got off the bus so it was more a shopping day than a sight seeing day we went to china town but they didnt like the way people tried to make you go into their shop.We did drive alongside of central park and though Harlem.I have alot better idea of where things are now and we would like to go again but have a more planned out day and more sight seeing.I loved looking at the fabric and notion stores there was a whole street with just those shops didnt buy any fabric though it was more dress than quilting did pass one quilt shop will plan on going there next time too.For an Australian family from a small town and living in a small town in MA it is alot to take in all in one day

next time you come to NYC, let me know. I live on the West side, just south of Central Park--when I moved in, the neighborhood was known as Hell's Kitchen, and was it ever! then, as gentrification proceeded, the name was changed to Clinton (after an early governor, not the recent president). The neighborhood is so chic now, it's become one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Manhattan. As such, it is again being called Hell's Kitchen! anyway, I'd be glad to assist you in making up a tour list, referring you places, etc.
