Or at least tomorrow. I will be donating Mama's wheelchair (she passed last year) to HonorAir program. The HonorAir Program flies area World War II veterans to see the Memorials in Washington, D.C.

They were having to rent about 25 wheelchairs each time they took a group to Washington, D.C.

I know my mother would be so happy that someone especially a veteran could use her wheelchair. My brother was a veteran in the Vietnam era and he passed away in 2006.

Just wanted to share in case someone in the Knoxville area has a wheelchair they would like to donate to HonorAir Knoxville.

What a wonderful thing to do. My DH and I were at the WWII memorial in Washington DC this summer when a group of vet on an HonorAir trip were there. Many were in wheel chairs. This was probably the last trip many of them will ever make. You did a very good thing and I'm sure your mom is very proud of you.

That is such a wonderful thing to do!
And I'm sorry about your mom. No matter that it was last year, it's still gotta hurt to lose her. My mom has been gone since 1998 & I miss her every day.
    God Bless You!
