I have noticed in some of the posts some members will put their names and addresses and email adress on the general post.

The way I understand it is that when replying it is a public forum so anyone can come in - not just board members. While I trust 99/99% of board members with this info I do not want anyone else getting that information.

PLEASE SEND YOUR ADDRESSES THROUGH PRIVATE PMS - I believe this will save your information from potential scammers and con artists that come into public formats just to get such information...Just another safety precaution...tell me what you think thanks cheryl :D

It's recommended that noone display such personal info on the board. Anyone can see it and if you accidently do then ask admin or a moderator to delete it for you or you can go back and edit it if it hasn't been posted for very long, i think you have 15min. to edit a post.

Always when I see an e-mail addy or snail mail addy in a thread, I notify the poster to either remove it if they still have the edit option or contact Patice or Sharon (Moderators that I know) to have it removed. I agree it is not a good idea to post it on a public forum.

I think it's a good practice not to post addresses of any sort...snail or e-mail. We've had gremlins on here before, mostly in chat, but not everyone who "visits" a site has good motives or good manners. I think you have to be very careful what you put out there for public view.

Good reminder -

Also - even though it feels very cozy and safe here - be aware that what one posts can be read by anyone, anywhere, and at any time.

If you feel that you put something on here that you would like deleted, send a request to Admin or one of the moderators to take it off for you.

Be sure to include the http: address so they know where/what it was.

Thank you!!!!
We all try to catch these when we can and edit them out of posts. However there are only a couple of moderators on here and we can't catch them all. Please check to see which moderator is on board and PM us and let us know where you see personal information posted so that we may correct it!
