Alice's Tulips

A big "thank you" to the quilter who suggested this book. I so enjoyed reading and getting a glimpse into the lives of the quilters of the Civil War era. I am excited to read more about this era. Does anyone have any more suggestions?

I can get you the reading list of my quilting teacher who teaches us the civil war quilts. She not only does our block of the month but also gives lecture each month. I could listen to her speak. Before the start of each series she has a tea and she dresses up in the civil war time dress and she looks and sounds like she just stepped out of time. Her brother even does the tour at Gettysburg; they love that time frame. I don't know if you have it down there but here we have an Ollies's store (it's like Big Lots) last year I got several Civil War books for my friend's 14 yr old son who also loves that time frame. I come from WV and the bridge in Philippi is where the first battle was fought. I see my teacher tomorrow night and I'll see what I can find for you. PM me your email so I can send them to you.
