I haven't been doing to good. Had my shoulder operated on a month ago and it turned into a big thing. My doctor says it be 6 months to a year before I can lift my arm. Then I almost lost my baby sister Christmas week. So, I have been fighting major depression bad.
Yesterday my husband came carrying in a package.
He said something like what you order now. You got to not be spending money but he was grinning and I knew I had been spending any money. It was a wonderful package from my Secret Angel. I set in the floor looking at the beautiful colors that will go Perfect in my Christmas mystery quilt when I can use my arm. The pinks, greens and beige's fit just like she has seen what I was going to use in the quilt. There was also some pretty chicken print material. And if that wasn't enough and lord knows it was way to great, she put in chicken note pad, chicken week list then I found a CD on quilting tips.
Thank you so much, it brighten my day. My husband and daughter in law said, see God telling you it be alright, your arm will get better and you be back to using this wonderful gift.
Thank you so much and if I put this in the wrong place could some one move it where it needs to be.
Oh, and my no spending hubby said. Now that you got this wonderful package, do you want to go to the quilt store for your Angel? I haven't even wanted to go to town in weeks but we going today to the quilt store and I am looking foreword to it for a change.
Thank you so what.

Oklahoma, I hope your arm heals quicker than they think it will. I had surgery on my right shoulder on the 6th of November. I ended up with an infection and a lot of inflammation. Fortunately they did not have to open it back up. I am healing slower than I should but I am healing. I can do some sewing, just not for very long at a time. I will pray that your shoulder will heal quicker. I know what you are going through!!

I am having a tough time sleeping as well. I take some meds and as soon as it wears off, in 4 hours, I am aching like crazy. I get up and take more stuff but I'm usually awake for at least an hour to an hour and a half before I can go back to sleep. Why can't they make pain meds that last more than 4 hours??

Good question Gayle
My Doctor give you two weeks worth after surgery and that it.
He says if he gives you more, you will take them a do things that injure the surgery. Which is what I do I know he right. But I have had weight lose surgery and my stomach can't handle the over the counter stuff. So, all I can take it is at night. Then my stomach hurts like crazy.
I am going to try and sew a little today. I got to get one block finished. I didn't get to go to town yet so maybe tomorrow.
I want to have a second one finished when I send things out.

Glad your day was brightened by your SQA. They are a godsend aren't they?

Here's hoping your arm heals quickly along with your spirits.

Hugs(gently).

I know what it's like to be laid up and still worry about the farm. The summer is the worst watching them unload hay. Cuz I know if I could just help on the wagon things would move more quickly and smoothly. But I can't do it any more. But I still want to. I tried to drive tractor last fall and I can't do that anymore either. I just can't get enough pressure in my right foot. I know it's hard to tell a farm wife to relax but do it now so you can help when the time is right. Blessings to you.
