the mute button works pretty good too!! ;-)

I don't know why they cater to the teenagers in terms of the singers. The superbowl reaches a wide audience, I think a C&W singer would be more popular.

from Yahoo sports, this cracked me up

Perhaps she was too concerned with breaking Patti LaBelle's record for turning single-syllable words into entire paragraphs during the singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner,

Just be thankful I didn't get on that field and sing. Everyone would be running for the hills. Or writing their Senators!

i dont understand why they cant just sing it as it was wrote instead of all that stuff they add. i think they should have to sign a contract to only sing it as written words and notes.

GOING????? Personally I think it started that trip a long time ago. Are we there yet?

There was a big write up on the internet today about what a horrible job she did and how the half time show was the worst ever. Since the Bears weren't playing I didn't watch it.

I'd rather hear a group of elementary children sing the anthem instead of some caterwauling wretch looking for publicity. At least they make an effort to do it right.

Best way to voice our opinions? Don't buy any cds, turn off the radio or tv when she comes on, boycott her concerts, movies or anything else she does. If she promotes a product, boycott that too and let the company know.

yep, if you can't sing it without forgetting nor following the song the way it was written-please don't sing it.
the little girl recently on the news wanted to do it in her rendition. why change a National song? just because you can? sigh. Yep, I'm old and love our national anthym. just like i like our Pledge to our Flag, etc. but then, I'm old and things like that mean an awful lot to me.

Sometimes I think they do it to get in the news. And I disagree that the foot ball game has nothing to do with our country if they are going to sing our Athem they owe it the respect it deserves. Saying it doesn't matter because it was just a football game is like saying God only matters in church And venting here sometimes lets us here if we are alone in our feelings or other people feel the same way we do. This is just my opinion please don't take any of it personal.
