    I don't have this problem but the adware I use is Ad-Aware-
    free off of cnet.com downloads.

    I have a Mac but with Boot Camp (dual processors) so I have Windows XP. I run on the Windows a Security Essentials, a free download and updates. It has detected viruses on the Windows side, but I never have any on the Snow Leopard (Mac) side.
