Hi!

I saw the ad in Fon's and Porter mag for "A single thread", a "A thread so thin" and "A thread of truth" by Marie Bostwick and decided to look for them at my local library. I found "A single thread" and what a great book!
I plan to read the others real soon! A great book to take on vacation or read on a rainy afternoon with a cup of tea.

Enjoy!

I would say it's "general" fiction with a quilt story woven in. The main character moves to CT after getting a divorce. She opens a quilt store, finds out she has breast cancer and overcomes it. She makes some really good friends along the way, finds new love, etc.

To quote the F&P review:

"New York Times bestselling author Marie Bostwick has written these novels for everyone to enjoy, but especially quilters. With quilting threads woven throughout, she crafts stories of friendships, hopes, dreams, and life experiences. Praised by critics and readers alike, these tales are heartwarming, emotional, funny, and creative.

again, a GREAT book. one of the best I've read in a long time (and I'm a librarian!)

I am reading A Thread So Thin right now. Read the other two already. Great books! I hope there will be more in the series because the characters have become my best friends.

Thanks, Rose!! Sounds like a nice read :) I'm going to get it when I finish my current 12 lol :D

I remember How to Make an American Quilt by Whitney Otto. A GREAT story with the quilt as the common thread. But unlike most books made into movies, I actually liked the movie a lot more. One of my favs that I watch at least once a year!!
