I was sitting here reading posts, and the cat came up behind my chair and let me know it was feeding time. I backed up in my chair and without realizing it, I backed over her tail. She took off like a shot out the window howling. Of course I felt terrible. Since she is still out side, I can't assess damage. But I did find a two inch tuft of gray fur right behind the wheel of the chair. I hope she forgives me! :(

She will forgive but will never let you forget that you did it!

Hopefully she will also learn her lesson to not be behind the chair when it may move!

My brother shut the front door on his cat's tail and broke the tail so badly that the tail had to be amputated. That poor cat looks very funny now with his bobbed tail. Of course, if the stupid cat hadn't tried to escape every time the door was opened, he wouldn't have had the door shut on him.

Poor Kitten...it was an accident but I'm sure she'll look at you like you did on purpose.

Hope all is fine with her tail.

Hope she is all right. I learned also to check before moving the chair with wheels. Had the same hair tuft you had. But I only got the hair, thank goodness. Now I always check before moving. My three are very close to me most of the time. Can't even go to the bathroom without them waiting outside the door.

She came back in after a while and stepped around the chair. She's fine. Right now holding down her throne.
