BTW this is not all of them. I just picked the ones I liked the most. She has a small trunk that is full of them.

We were talking in my PDA about bringing home yard sale stuff. This first pic is a dresser mom saw sitting in the trash and we went and brought it home. She didn't do any restoring to it. It looks great I think in her kitchen with these Valentine's on it.

Sorry the closeups are't as clear as I wanted. The empty holder is because I included the one that sat there in the posts above.

Rhonda those are adorable - thats 'add-orrr-aaable' the French way! The cutesie ones look a lot like Mabel Lucie Atwell, I think that's what she's called - she did characters like that on porcelain, I know. But I've no idea if she did cards too or if she's the right era - guess I'd better go google! ;-)

EDIT - here's a link to some of her postcards. She died in 1964. The style is similar though, don't you think? http://www.collections.co.uk/postcar...tists/mla.html

there is someone on Ebay who sells fabric with vintage cards printed on them.. think she or he charges about $9 for a 5x6 picture.. could be a new business for you!! (not that you need one)

This thread has brought back so many found memories. For many years when I was a kid (back in the dark ages...and yes we did have electricity, lol) my mom would always help me make hand crafted Valentines with rubber cement, construction paper and paper lace doilies. I had forgotten all about that! I sure wish I had kept a couple! She also always made my Halloween costumes....I didn't even realize there were store bought ones until years later! lol

Thanks for the memories....(yep, I am singing that! Course you youngins probably won't recognize the reference. LOL)
