I think you can get some bargains down here in Florida, since the economy sucks, thanks to several things, including our not beloved Governor Scott. There are websites promoting this area, Ft. Myers, Naples, Sanibel. Ft. Myers is going to be cheaper, because the other two places are more uh.....how do I say this without offending our other members? Uppity. Expensive. Exclusive? Going to cost you a lot more. I live in Ft. Myers, but out in the Shores....so I can walk over and smile at the cows up the road, lol. I like it out here, and it is better than living right in town for us. We live on a fairly quiet street, no real traffic.

Ft. Myers beach homes will be higher, for the obvious reason, but there are some good bargains out there, if you want to look. And the drive to Naples and Sanibel is not that far.
