Anybody want garlic bulbils?

They're the mini-bulbs (almost like seeds) that form at the top of a garlic plant.
I cut and saved them from my garlic plants, but since I will be replanting the cloves this fall, I don't need any of the bulbils. I don't know what the name of the variety is, but they are a hardneck type that is completely hardy here in zone 5 (upstate NY).
Would be happy to send them to anyone who would like them. Please PM me if interested.

How nice of you to share.
The Allium family is very easy to propagate. My little hillbilly Grandma used to cut off the bottom of every onion or garlic, etc that came into the house when she was cooking. And replanted each one in a new place, and they all came up again. I think that she had direct descendants of starts from her own mother. I'm sorry now that I don't have any of hers now that I've gotten old enough to love their history.

Hmmm...... Should I try planting some of my garlic. Since you first talked about growing garlic a couple months ago, Nan, I have been thinking about planting some. I do know when the cloves sit around a while they start to "grow" Do you think I should try planting that and seeing if I get some garlic of my own!! I'm in Southern California so your garlic may not do as well out here.

The garlic plants we recieved are doing great. They seem to love their new home. Love the addition to the garden. Next year we will use the garlic to mince and spray to kill the pests attacking various garden plants.

I would love to receive some garlic bulbils, if you wouldn't mind sending it. While we don't have a long, cold winter, last year it dropped to 4 below zero, killing quite a few of our palm trees & almost all of our oleander bushes locally. Needless to say, it was a 60 year storm that brought such temps & snow, with ice long enough to kill such vegetation!!!! I'll drop you a PM with my address & e-mail in it.
