Anyone a member of Curves?
The Curves here in Lawrenceburg, KY is closing, heard there are many more closing. It has to do with being open 24/7 and a lawsuit. We are shocked, many of us have became friends and looked forward to working out and chatting about friends and things. The Curves in surrounding towns closed months ago. Anybody else facing this problem?

The 24/7 thing must be the ones in your area and maybe other parts of the country. My understanding is Curves is a franchise and owner operated, Prehaps the problems they ones in your area are experiencing is related to those specific owners.
I was a member at our local one twice, both times i've quit because of my foot and ankle problems. They are also not open around the clock. Hope your able to find out what is going on, my advice would be to ask. You won't know unless you do.

Curves is the Best
Oh My,I am so sorry to hear this. I have been a Curves member (Phoenix, AZ) for just over one year. The one I go to is franchise/owner - and Shanda is the best ever. Club is open 6am - 7pm weekdays and 8am - Noon Saturdays and it is 2 blocks from our home..I would be lost without Curves... The only thing I fear is the scale..enough said..

Our Curves is not a 24/7 either and it is going strong. They have even been able to offer us Zumba 3 times a week. It is one of the best things I've ever done. Been a member 4 years and don't plan to ever quit! Love Curves!!

Ours closed many years ago. I loved to exercise there and lost lots of inches. I was working in town at the time and would go on my lunch hour. When I left my job, I filled in for the owner and loved it. Got to workout all day and meet all the members as they came in. I checked into buying the franchise when ours was closing, but there was just not enough of a profit for me to take that risk.

About one-third of Curves franchises have closed in the last 3 years. I don't think it has anything to do with 24/7 (other than competing companies offer 24/7) or lawsuits, but rather with a changing economy and the inability of individual franchises to remain profitable.
