I don't go to one, but several families from my church have recently started going to see a specific chiropractor. I just googled the office name and it is popping up as associated with the maximized living that you're asking about. The family that I'm closest too has had some great results. They examined everyone in the family (mom, dad, kids) since some problems are hereditary. I don't know the details, but two of the kids in particular have significant spine problems and the family was starting to head towards surgery for the girls. Both girls and the dad have seen great improvement in their back pain. They are also following a diet plan that the chiropractor recommends that goes along with their chiropractor treatment. They've been going since sometime in the spring.

That's good to hear. I just wish they didn't want a huge chunk of cash up front!

I think people keep going back to chiros because the treatments don't fix the problem. They are a temporary solution and the manipulations can stretch your tendons so that it causes the problem to reappear. I think, for instance, that it is a better strategy to do exercises to strengthen the muscles in a problem area than to manipulate the joints. If you do decide to go to a chiro I suggest you only go ahead with treatment if he/she has taken an x-ray first.

I have gone to chiropractors all my life. Word of mouth is the best recommendation. If not, how about joining Angie's List? The ones that rely too much on machines will never make it my estimation.
