I am wondering if there is any kind of glue to use when the piece of fabric did not stick when using the wonder under fusible web.I thought if there were I could use a dab here and there when I am sewing it down.

Washable Elmer's school glue (press with a hot dry iron to set it) or a tiny dab of a washable glue stick :D:D:D

Try useing elmers school glue others on the QB use it for lots of sewing/Quilting projects and all say its great! Washes out, doesn't gumb up your needles/machines. only thing is it may take longer than you want to dry? but if you use a very tiny dot it would be quick. 8-)

I picked up a bottle of the School Glue gel would that be the same?

since you want it to be permanant do not use washable school glue.
there is a glue called liquid stitch, it's for fabric and holds very well through washing,
also you may be able to reiron your wonder under and make it grab better

I was taught to use an Elmers glue stick; it also helps push back those threads that have a tendency to show up from raveling. I dip a toothpick into the clue stick and put it where i need it. Toothpicks are also great for helping turn over edges

i just use glue sticks from the dollar store- they hold just enough- and wash out- elmers glue sticks-
fons and porter has a glue stick too. glue sticks are nice because you can just dab it right where you need it.
what ever glue you choose make sure it will wash out- the ones that do not wash out can become very stiff on your fabric- or be next to impossible to sew through
