Garage didn't get done. I sprained my knee. Of course it is the bad knee that I sprained. Weight loss stalled. No loss or gain. Guess that is a good thing. With the bad knee exercise is out. I ordered the new Ab Twister. We will see if this does any good for the Belly. At least it is a no impact exercise for the knee.
Yes, prayers for all in need at this time. It seems a lot of us are going through tough times, it is nice to have support here on QB.

Craftygater, sorry about the garage. It will be waiting for you when you heal.

I just washed and cut fruit and veges. Am going to have a new chicken and artichoke heart recipe for dinner (my entire family groaned when they heard "artichoke," oh well, it's good to try new things). I'm also going to the gym tonight with DH. Getting it written on the calendar is key for me.

We are having fun in Myrtle Beach. As far as I know Quilting at the Beach is the only shop here. We have done some outlet shopping and of course went to the beach and pool. My brother and SIL have a condo here so lodging is free. We went to a farmers market and got tons of fruit and veggies. We have to go home on Friday:-( so we are either buying some fish to cook tonight or going out to eat, not sure yet. We ate at The Flying FIsh last night and it was delicious. I had shrimp and grits which was delicious, the others had a pot with crab legs, shrimp and sausage.

Busy week here as well. Dad fell Monday evening and is pretty sore. My mom has really stepped up and manages to get lunch around. They have a rolling cart they can push in front of their walkers from the kitchen to the living room. Although I'm tired, I am enjoying this extra time with my folks. They are married 62 years and still have a lot to teach me.

I'm trying to be careful with my meals so I'm holding steady for the month. When I got dressed for work this morning I grabbed a blouse I hadn't worn since spring. Woo Hoo!! It fit much better and I was pleasantly surprised and pleased. So progress is being made. A little happy dance for me!!

I weighed in today. I was up 1.4 lbs. Not as bad as it could have been. I'm back on track and feel so much better. You would think by now I'd learn. Oh well, I'll get there eventually. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Just checking in. My ex is still hanging in there so I'm still on the road daily. His trauma doctor says sometimes they last for weeks. My children have postponed the celebration of life once. I think they had better give up trying to set a date. I know it sounds crass trying to find a date while he is still breathing, but 2 children and four grandchildren have to travel long distances.

My weight isn't too bad, but I'm feeling puffy through the middle - too much food I didn't cook and too much sitting.

Prayers for those who need them.

Mary----hubby should be your priority right now, but remember you have to take care of yourself along the way as well.

Irishrose- hang in there. I know it is rough with going back and forth.

My weight is holding steady. My father is not doing well. He seems to be getting weaker and weaker and barely eats or drinks anything. This could be it.....

Been getting lots of sewing in. The budget is extremely tight this month so I am being good and staying home and sewing. My Bernina will come home today, however they could not get the needed part. They say maybe by the end of the year. I can still sew on it but don't know how long it will last. I have been using my trusty old Pfaff. I am going to take it in and exchange it for the Bernina. It needs a good cleaning and oiling as it is making more noise than it should.
This weekend is our UFO weekend at church. I have 8 quilt tops to be sandwiched. Dh will help me as well as some of my friends. One is a twin, the rest are lap size. I also have 2 other tops that need borders and a backing and 2 more that I have all the squares done. These 4 are to be donated, along with 3 of the others.
I may not take my machine, may only work on getting these sandwiched, I don't know. I won't be able to sew all day tomorrow as I have a wedding out of town. I'm not so thrilled about taking my machine and getting it all set up for only a few minutes of sewing. We will see.....

My life has calmed down so much since the kids left. I'm even getting my house straightened up again. Yesterday and today are Allie days. The little sweetie will be 6 mo old tomorrow.
So much illness going on in our little group. I'll keep praying.

Continued prayers for everyone.

I increased my weights at the gym and feel myself getting stronger. I really work up a sweat, which I haven't done in years. Joints are bothering me a little, but nothing too bad. Getting stronger is helping me in yoga. I really need the yoga to help my back stay in shape. If I don't, my back pain is pretty bad and I get pretty knotted up and stiff.

My weight is staying the same. My eating hasn't been great, but I am trying to get more veges and fruit in.
