Bakers: A jar is a jar is a jar?

I use the brown bears and just love them! I have had a plastic container (Ziploc) with brown sugar and a bear for almost 3 years now ....I guess you can tell I don't use a lot of it... . I checked it just now and the sugar is still soft. Occasionally I take out the bear and soak it in water 5 to 10 minutes and put it back. The bears are also great for keeping raisins soft.

I've never heard of the jar thing before. I have heard of the bread thing. You can also you the little silicon squares that come with your shoes, but be VERY careful, if the little bag breaks open, you will need to throw out all of the sugar.

After opening a new bag, I always twist and close with a bread tie, and store it in the freezer. Whenever I need some, I just take the tie off and microwave for 30sec. or less. I never let it get hot, just soft...it also never seems to get old or freezer burnt either.
