We had all been wondering about this new product, One of the lady made some samples last week. She washed them in different temperatures of water and drying methods. Measured them before and after washing. She didn't find much shrinkage. How ever HEADS UP~ * ~ All her samples came out with small rust looking spots scattered.
I just thought I let you all know what we have found out~

Not liking the small rust stains....hmmm I wonder why???
I was looking at some bagged bamboo batting (that's a tongue twister lol) and I was noticing how fluffy and ragged the edges looked, it reminded me of fluffy cotton wood seeds that float through the air in the spring. I wondered after it is cut, if it would start to fluff and poof around the edges after handling it a bit?

That sometimes happens on my Warm & Natural, too.

I just used this on the doll quilts I made. I hope it doesn't happen to them. I imagine it has to do with the coloring of the wood.

Thank you for posting this information. Bamboo is excellent for many things but I think I'll use the tried and true for my quilts.

The quilt I bought it for is black and rust, so I think I will use it but I will be careful not to buy for a light quilt.

I just used bamboo batting for the first time. I loved it! The bamboo batting was so soft and had no lumps at all. I hand quilted the quilt it was in, and it was so easy to push the needle through.

The back of the quilt is white with purple polka-dots so I will give my SIL a heads up as to the rust spots. (It was a baby quilt for Future Niece and I have already given it to her.)

I am really disappointed because I was all set to switch to it even though it's pricey.

This can happen with Warm and Natural, too. A lady in my guild did a whole cloth white quilt for a competition. When she go it wet to block it, the seeds left a stain on the fabric. The Warm company ended up getting involved to see if they could save the quilt for competition.

I use Bamboo batting almost all the time now and buy it when it is on sale because it is expensive. I love it, I love it, I love it. I don't care what anyone else says.
