My DH took me out for the weekend to Estes Park. We had a lovely time and thought you all would like to see some of the pictures. We stopped at the Stanley Hotel, where scenes from Stephen King's "The Shining" were filmed. It was sunny and cool yesterday, but this morning woke up to absolute COLD this morning with snow.

Only a portion of the hotel -- it is huge

The hotel looks HUGE ! Love the quilt on the bed... only a true quilter would think to take a pic of the bedding :wink:

WOW!!! Did you get to walk through the hotel? Was it creepy?? Were they having an outdoor function there as cold as it was?
I just love that quilt...bet it made the room feel more cozy :D:D:D

I love Estes Park. It is so beautiful. I miss not being able to take a day drive through there!!!

Wow Ducky - even LOOKING at the photo of the hotel gave me the chills! Was it spooky? That quilt is awesome BTW. :-D
