I don't like guests to strip the bed. Or use my washer. I like to remake the bed the way I like. I don't stay much at places other than each of the sons and they don't want me to strip my bed. So far I have always stripped and washed the day guests leave and get the room ready again. Luckily we have never had messy guests.

When I have guests I always appreciate them stripping the bed for me.

When we have guests, after they leave I strip the bed and make it without the sheets. That way when I know company is coming, I put fresh sheets on then. That way they won't be sleeping on sheets that have been on the bed for who knows how long. The bed smells fresher too.

I ask my host first. I prefer that my guests leave things alone because some of them not only strip the sheets off but take off the blanket and spread and fold them up. That's irritating for me.

I always ask. I'm usually in hotels, but when in someone's home they seem to prefer to do it themselves.

I always ask. I have a guest room and cannot imagine having to sleep on a bed that has not been used in months. I strip the bed and wash everything when I know company is coming.

A couple that stayed with me last year did this for me. I was surprised but grateful. Problem is I'd rather leave them on till the next guest is supposed to arrive so I know the sheets are as fresh as they can be. Since I have a kitty that thinks everything is her's for the taking I leave a sheet over the bed to alleviate cat hair from getting into the bedspread/sheets. Then remove it when the guests arrive.

I always try to be as courteous as possible when I stay with someone. I would not want a guest to strip the bed because I have my own way of doing things. I would always ask first before stripping a bed.

Yes , our family always strips the bed & remakes it with clean sheets. If we are going to be there awhile after getting up then we always wash them too. Mainly our family just stays at my sisters or my dads house but that is what we do. If I was going to stay someplace other than those two places then I would ask the hostess what she wanted me to do about the bedding.
