Default Scorching Summer Heat

The temperature just hit 45 degrees centigrade here in little old Adelaide S.A. Hope this warms you up if you are having snow. We have all our fingers and toes crossed that there will not be any bushfires this next week as we go through a week of scorching heat.

Maybe if I just close my eyes and think a while, the toes will warm up! Stay safe; it doesn't sound like much fun.

Pretty hot here in Canberra too, and even hotter tomorrow, (around 39 degrees C, not as bad as 45 though) I hope there will be no bushfires either, stay cool and stay safe

Woody, you've probably heard about the bushfire in Tasmania. Some 60 buildings have been destroyed. We had one fire here in S.A. but no casualties so far. A little respite tomorrow only 32 degrees here but the rest of the week is set to be a heat wave with up to 40 degrees again by Thursday.

Yes, please send us some of the warm weather here. My aunt and uncle live in Springwood and she said it is too hot for her now there.

Yes, remember Australia uses Centigrade, the U.S. uses Fahrenheit. 45F is chilly, 45C is darned hot. The living in fear of the brush fires is nerve wracking, and they can be started for such stupid and careless reasons. Hope you stay safe and comfortable!

We have been quite hot here in Culburra Beach, and this morning there is a smell of smoke and it is hazy outside, praying no major fires.
