Every time I visit face book on my laptop I get tracking cookies. This only happens when I visit when I visit FB. I usually only check FB from my Iopd. The kids like the site so I keep track of what they are doing but I have to run my virus tracker for cookies every time. I forgot the last time and I had 172 tracking cookies on the laptop. So beware.

I have a free version of CC Cleaner which erases all tracking cookies and temp files whenever I schedule it (usually once per week) or run it by choice (when I get a message from Norton that I'm being invaded). It keeps my laptop functioning quickly and gets rid of intruders. There is also a pay upgrade, but I did not buy that. Wish I could give you better details, but HP helped me get this when I purchased the computer. Maybe you could do a search.

I got them off. I have AVG and it captured them and deleted them. Not the free version, I paid for an upgrade. But I think I need to get the cc cleaner too.

I have to ask this... how many of you moms and dads are using Facebook to check up on your kids?

(Don't tell my kids that I asked this...)

I wasn't at first but then found out that my son was saying thing to others that wasn't nice(sister is a tattle tale). Now he makes sure he doesn't cross any lines.

I see... so the siblings snoop on each other? And then report it to you? (Might make your job easier...)

Yes, it happens all the time. When they were little they were best friends but as teenagers all they do is fight. DD thinks she is better than DS and all it has done is get her in trouble. All I can do is hope and pray they grow up before I put them in the grave. Lol. I know kids will be kids.

Absolutely! My three are all adults now, but they suggested to me that I get on Facebook - I felt very honored that they would ask me. I like to see what they are doing, and really enjoy seeing their sense(s) of humor up there on the screen.

It's also the best way to catch pictures of my two little grandsons. I post a pic when they've been at Grandma's house, and Mom and Dad post a pic when they are looking especially cute.

If my three offspring were teenagers, I'm sure they would have been horrified to have Mom on FB.

I checked it out once and really didn't care for it.
