So, gonna share those ol' hulls with us, Ms. Black Hand? They're great for staining fabric for that 'primitive' look.

Tells how to remove the stains from hulls. Some of the other ehow posts address removing wood staining products, not the real gen-u-ine black walnut. Get the right one.

Next time just pickle them before the shell gets hard, then you won't have to worry about them

Now you know why the ladies used to use them for hair color in the old days. I remember stained fingers as a kid. Guess that's why grandmom always had us kids do it.ha ha

I also use walnut hulls to stain my basket weavig materials. Makes beautiful baskets!

How do you pickle them ? does it effect the flavor at all ? My parents have a blk walnut tree and I thought about gathering some for fudge . :-D

This little lady was wearing latex gloves under garden gloves but my hands are still stained. I think I might have gotten a whole in the thumb :(

Time is the only thing I've ever heard takes it off. would like to know if you find somehting that works.
