Just wondering....when I bookmark something so that I can refer back to it.....why should all other members be able to see what I have bookmarked? Obviously I don't have a huge bookmarking folder..but what is the purpose of being able to see what others have bookmarked? Am I allowed to ask this, hope I'm not stepping on toes here.....

Hello! This has been brought up before somewhere. Just check the "no" box if you don't want anyone to know what you bookmark. :D

If you mean on your profile, it is probably just so people kind of get to know you. That's where the "where you live", etc. is so I figure it's just a "get to know ya" area :) You can tell what people like, etc. by what they bookmark.

Bookmark can be set so people can't see it, When you click on bookmark it gives you an option to set for Public yes or no, If you don't want it public change it to no. Easy Peasy!

I leave it as open as I cannot understand why anyone would want to see what I am bookmarking. What would be the purpose? Maybe I am wrong.

Maybe they think that you're really smart and would only bookmark really really good posts, so they want to see them? LOL

I have never thought about it, or checked.

I usually mark No on mine although some of the first ones I marked aren't. I can't imagine looking at what someone else has bookmarked even though I know I can if it's public. To me that would be along the same lines as being in their house and looking through their medicine cabinet or underwear drawer--- that's private and something I just wouldn't do. I usually only bookmark beautiful quilts or quilting that I want to use as a reference inspiration later.

In some of the exchanges it is nice to be able to look up a user an see what they like . If you are bookmarking something I would think you had an interest in it , therefor I can get an extra info on you without having to ask
I leave all my public, I figure who cares
