Default Books for Ipad

I just got an Ipad 2 and I can't find any safe sites to download cheap or even better free ones. The ones I see are all Classics, I would like something more up to date. Does anyone know a safe & good site that lets you download new books to ipad..... Thanks

Check with your library. I have a Kindle Fire and load books on the time. If I want one that someone has checked it out I can put my name on the waiting list.

Barns and Nobal has free software Nook for Ipad. This is the link http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ The software is near the bottom of the home page. Once you are set up on b&n.com go to Nook Books and type in 0.00 and you can get all of the free books you want or will ever need. My wife and I have about 1600 books in our library. Any questions just ask, here or PM and my wife or I will get back to you as soon as possible. B&N also has a free book every Friday that is often good.

If the book is still under copyright, there will be no reputable site from which you can download the book, because that woukd be a violation if the law. You may check out books from your library, or buy books. Both Kindle and Nook have iPad apps. Most public libraries use Overdrive. The largest collection of free downloadable books that I have found is Gutenberg.

B&N is not breaking copyright laws by listing free books. Authors price the books at free or .99 to get readership. Books under copyright are charged for by all reputable book sellers. Gutenberg is a great sight for the classics. Not many of the books written today will still be in print 200 years from now.

Go to Amazon.com then the Kindle store. There are many free books there. Also you can sign up for a daily email that sends out lists of free books.

I use the library.....I actually can access two as my daughter lives in another County. Easy to sign up and easy to download onto electronic device. Once downloaded, no expiration date.....can keep them there a week or a year.... It's my salvation!!!
