Hi y'all,
Just beginning machine embroidery with a Brother pe770. My question is about moving the position of the hoop or needle to make more than one design in the hoop, is it possible? The reason I'm asking is for practice sake, I've been just making one letter or design per hooping, is there a way to adjust the carriage or needle to make a test design somewhere else in the 5x7 hoop?
Thanks very much
cj

Yes, you can do this - up to a point.

Use the layout arrows to move your design. Instructions are in the manual. Doing practice pieces is a good way to learn the limits. The machine will beep at you if you try to move a design too far.

I'm still learning to use mine also. If you have a dealer nearby who gives classes, by all means take them. I don't have a local dealer, so I'm learning the hard way.

I found if you have a hoop that you can move up or down, you can do that and still move your design with the arrows.Connie in CO

I haven't ventured into the USB port yet, still getting the tensions and what-not correct. Broke a needle last night and almost had a heart attack! I just knew it was the end of my machine, poor hubby just shakes his head and says "It's fine...don't freak out". Needle changed, letter b completed :)
