ok I found another link, and if someone had it on here before, I apologize beforehand

I had thoughts some time ago of just giving up all sewing , from crocheting, sewing crafts, quilting, the whole thing! But all of you chipped in and said what I could do to save, cut corners and so on. I am still struggling, but not as bad as before.

I am just trying to give back a little of what I received.
here is a link, I think you will like, and its free, got a lot of good tips in it.. which I am taking as well....

I'm planning on making one green loving daughter a big lap robe (her husband is 6 foot 5) and went to my favorite thrift store. There I found 5 (FIVE) huge king sheets in greens, from a deep rich green to a lovely mint green, they are all different and all go together nicely. They're all washed and folded and waiting for the scissors.
Now to get though what I'm working on so I can start cutting!!
The prices on these at the gray building was $2.99 each, and being a Saturday everything was 50 percent OFF!! So they almost paid me to take these lovely masses of fabric.

I have been shopping at thrift shops for over 35 years. I have a large family and that's where I put outgrown or unwanted items on consignment. My credit adds up and I can get the cash or use the credit in the store for needed stuff. There were times that I would pay a credit card bill or buy dog food with the money. I live for thrift shops and it's amazing what you can find in there. Fabric and notions are just the beginning.

I told my husband that one day I am going to find something either at a garage sale or a thrift shop that will be worth thousands of dollars and then I will be able to afford to build the huge house I've always wanted.
