Anyone done this? Which site did you use?

I lost my job a little while ago so lost the health insurance also. Got another UTI. Drs. office call is at least $90.00 and that doesn't include the tests. I know I can by Cipro online but can't decide from what site. Any suggestions? I'm thinking maybe the Canadian sites? TIA, Karen

for a UTI i just to go Walgreens or the like and pick up a box of Cystex (spelling) There are a bunch of over the counter meds for that. cranberry juice is good for it as well.

No not curing it. It alleviates the symptoms, the pressure, urgency and pain to go. It gets rid of all that, makes getting over it a lot better. I really don't know the science behind it. My grandmother never took and anti biotic for it she just drank the juice till she felt better.

You still would need an Rx for the Canadian sites. I just checked online at two of the sites I deal with extensively (for my mother's AZ drugs), and they both would require an Rx.

Does the doctor's office know you've already lost your insurance? If it was relatively recently, perhaps you could call and just ask for the Rx? If then you explain your situation, there's the off-chance they/the doctor would be sympathetic and helpful. Ya, I know, I'm reaching.

It's too bad as you can get the RX filled at Walmart for $4/month.

Pretty screwed up. I wish you good luck.

I've never done this but if I did, I would use a Canadian pharmacy. Google the pharmacy name for reviews and comments before actually placing an order. I have avoided a few bad online places by doing exactly that.

Edit: I started looking online, and it looks as if the country (such as Canada) requires a prescription, you still need a prescription to order online. Apparently Mexico does not require a prescription; however, I think there is more risk of getting fake medication with that route.

I did find this article online:
http://www.coreynahman.com/antibiotics.html

This is an interesting question!

there are several free r-x on line just google free perscriptions and you will find one to help you. the Montell Williams one has been around for a while or go to your dr office and ask at the front desk if they can help you get free drugs. there is some paper work to fill out. when i was on oxycoten and oxycodone for a while (took myself off that stuff) i was getting it free.

You would still need an Rx, but Publix supermarkets down here in the south... have a list of meds that they give away FREE.. if you have the Rx for them. Cipro is one.

Doctor's get samples from drug sales people all the time. ask if they have any for patients who can't afford them. it may work.
