I made a couple "thinking of you cards" on my sewing machine yesterday and a Christmas card this morning.

I just learned how to do this and one of your cards looks so much like mine; the one with the tree. It was a software package at the LQS where I bought my machine. Speaking of machines; yours also looks like mine. I have a Viking Ruby; for a whole couple of weeks now. You did a good job. I think these will be extra special for Christmas.

Great job - what type of fabric did you embroidery on?

I have a Designer Diamond. I got it right before they came out with the Diamond Deluxe(just my luck).
Yes you have to slow the machine down quite a bit. Some get a long fine that don't though but if you use metalic thread it is a good idea to slow it down no matter what you are sewing on...
I am sewing on card stock, but have learned that Art Paper would work better so will try that too. Hobby Lobby has neat papers to choose from get the ones that feel more like fabric.
