Default Simplicity Bias tape maker???

Do any of you have the simplicity bias tape maker machine? If so are they any good and pro's and cons.

I was at my Walmart this morning and they have the machine and the tube things marked down on clearance and I was wondering if it was worth buying. The machine was marked down to 30.00 and the tube things were 3.50 & 4.00.

Just need your opinions.

Thanks for your help,
Roseanna (Jazzmyn)

I have a bias tape maker, not sure who it's by. I think I used it once or twice. but then, i'm no longer organized as I used to be. I probably can't find it easily and that would certainly curtail me using it. see what others say. I'm sure it can be a help. especially on sale!

I really like mine. I have the quilting tips and use it all the time to make my bindings. It works for both straight and bias binding. That's a really good price you found... I'd snap it up!

By the way, if they also have that stupid Simplicity rotary cutting machine, leave that thing on the shelf. It's pretty useless!

I have one and use it for all my bindings. I take a day every now and then and make bindings of all colors. It's a great time saver to have bindings made in all colors and prints. If you have all the strip joining seams going into the tip facing to the right the strip will flow through better and not get jammed.

I found the same deal at my WalMart in SoCal (alas, no tips available). I bought it even though I didn't know anything about it but the reviews I've read online and on this board seem pretty good so I guess I'll keep it. It might motivate me to do "real" bindings rather than the "cheater" ones!
