I had a cat awhile back (probably 15 years ago) who was asleep under the hood of my Jeep. Well I didn't know this and started to turn the key when I heard an odd noise under the hood. Then I heard a loud bang and seen and orange streak run behind the house. I went after her and she wouldn't come near me. So I yelled for my daughter to help. In the mean time I popped the hood and in the fan belt where it starts to go around the pulley was a clump of hair.
Then we finally get her inside so I can look at the wound. There was a 1 1/2" bald spot on her tail. She didn't go outside for weeks until the hair grew back. Ever since then I hit the panic button on my truck key before starting my truck if it has been outside overnight.

Poor little kitty. I know you feel bad. But it looks like kitty forgives you.

That is a smart idea. That happened to a neighbor of mine a long time ago.

Your cats wait outside the door? Mine push the door open & come in.

poor kitty. I'm sure you can make up for it with some tuna juice (water from a can of tuna).
