I just found out that the day after I come back from Las Vegas, my job is sending me to Chicago for 2 weeks (ugh)! You all did so good at pointing out the quilt bus tour (which I have booked), I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction for the Chicago. I will have a vehicle. I have the evenings free as well as weekends. Any advice would be great, thank you!

Take time out to go to Navy Pier on the lake! I love it there. Just a good time to relax, watch the water, and the people. I don't know of any quilting shops there though, sorry.
We will be in that area over Labor Day for a family reunion, and have been to Chicago several times as my DH has family there. But I've not been to any quilt shops there.

I'll be watching here so I can see what is there too.
