Default Chicken Coop, Revisited

Howdy y'all ☺

Just so y'all know, I took to heart what was said about the chicken coop I bought being too small. So I did some searching, and I found another one at a great price! This one is MUCH bigger, and is also MUCH better built! This one was built by a farmer, and not from a kit. All of the wire on it is 1/2" hardware cloth rather than chicken wire. The coop itself measures 3' X 5' and the attached run is 5' X 10'. So it should be big enough for my 3 full-size and 1 bantam hens. In this pic, you can see the smaller coop beyond it for comparison. I'm SOOOOO excited!!! 😀

Thanks for your advice everyone. It was VERY much appreciated!

I have chicken envy too. Your hens will graduate to "The Big House". And they look safe in there.

Not much shade for the poor chickens. Hope they don't "fry" in the heat!...LOL

Actually, they will get the morning sun. By 2:00 in the afternoon during the summer, they will be in complete shade. ☺
